World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Campaign (June 15, 2024)

On June 15, 2024, from 6 PM to 7 PM (BKK time), the Joint Partner Team conducted a World Elder Abuse Awareness Day campaign to raise awareness about elder abuse and promote the well-being of older adults. The campaign featured logo changing and renaming movements to spark discussions and generate interest. Organizers explained the significance of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and efforts to combat elder abuse. We shared the campaign logo and postcards containing information and resources.

Discussions among the 21 attendees deepened their understanding of elder abuse issues and facilitated the identification of potential solutions and support systems for elders. The successful campaign highlighted the importance of continued efforts, such as developing educational materials, and partnering with local organizations to support elder abuse victims. Through these initiatives, the Joint Partner Team aims to create a supportive environment for older adults and significantly contribute to raising awareness about elder abuse.
