Conducting Digital Security Training Batch 6
The Digital Security Training Batch 6 by the Youth Empowerment (YE) and its partner, Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC), conducted on February 12, 2024, marked another successful endeavour in equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the digital landscape securely. With a diverse cohort of participants, including 6 males, 13 females, and 1 participant who did not specify their gender, the training fostered inclusivity and a rich exchange of perspectives. The training curriculum encompassed a comprehensive range of topics, including internet safety, data privacy, encryption techniques, and password management, tailored to the specific needs of the participants. Participants delved into internet safety, data privacy, encryption techniques, and password management, enhancing their ability to identify and mitigate digital threats. The inclusion ratio, with 28.6% male, 61.9% female, and 4.8% unspecified gender participants, highlighted the training’s commitment to diversity.
The training’s outputs, outcomes, and impacts included increased participant confidence, enhanced digital security practices, and a more security-conscious environment. Sustainability is ensured through ongoing support, mentoring, and continuous feedback. In conclusion, Batch 6 successfully empowered participants with digital security skills, fostering a safer digital landscape through inclusive, interactive training and ongoing support.
