Report Video on Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) due to Military’s violations in June, 2024

The Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC), Magway Region Human Rights Network (MHRN), and Youth Empowerment (YE) have released a collaborative video report focusing on the condition of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Myanmar, stemming from military violations in June 2024.

Since the military’s unlawful coup, extensive human rights abuses have been reported across various states and regions in Myanmar. These violations have compelled numerous individuals to abandon their homes, with the Sagaing Division being particularly impacted. The video features a chart illustrating the documented instances of displacement due to human rights abuses by the terrorist military group in June 2024.

This report draws on information from human rights activists and news media sources. Therefore, there may be discrepancies, and the actual number of displaced individuals could be higher.
