Youth Empowerment Representative Attends Enhancing Employee-Employer Communication Training by Issara

On May 12, 2024, Youth Empowerment (YE)’s representative attended a training session organized by Issara. On May 12th, from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM, Issara organized a training session focusing on the relationship between employees and employers in the context of migrant worker training. The session aimed to create a collaborative environment where migrant workers could learn about their rights and workplace benefits, enhance their skills, and support each other, with the ultimate goal of empowering workers and enabling them to share their knowledge with their communities.

The training highlighted several communication challenges between employers and employees, including unclear job descriptions, insufficient pre-job training, poorly communicated rules, and difficulties in reporting issues. To address these gaps, the training introduced resources such as the Labor Committee, HR offices, and suggestion boxes. Sharing successful communication methods and learning from past issues were key takeaways. Overall, the training empowered participants to advocate for better communication and a more positive work environment for migrant workers.
