Ban Jet Fuel Campaign & Petition against forced conscription (2024, March 21)

On March 21, 2024, New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and its partners conducted a pivotal online campaign which gathered 25 participants from diverse backgrounds , united in their commitment to challenge Myanmar’s conscription laws and advocate for the banning of SAC’s jet fuel. The session began with a compelling overview emphasizing the power of public campaigns in effecting transformative change through advocacy and community mobilization. Detailed presentations highlighted the urgency of banning military jet fuel to halt devastating civilian casualties caused by air attacks. 

Simultaneously, participants engaged in discussions regarding the petition against forced conscription, highlighting its impact on human rights. The campaign concluded with a strong commitment to ongoing advocacy and collaborative efforts aimed at sustaining momentum and achieving tangible results in safeguarding individual freedoms and promoting justice in Myanmar.
