Launching Civic Awareness Sharing

On February 14, 2024, with the support of New MYanmar Foundation (NMF), Youth Empowerment (YE) organised a Civic Awareness Sharing Ground Training inside Myanmar, aiming to foster civic engagement and awareness among youth participants. The event attracted over 30 attendees from diverse backgrounds, all eager to actively participate in their communities. The objective was to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills to become engaged citizens, emphasizing civic responsibilities, democratic principles, and community involvement. Through interactive sessions , participants explored civic duties, identified opportunities for community engagement, honed leadership skills, and learned about advocacy for social change.

The sharing was well-received, with participants expressing enthusiasm and readiness to initiate positive actions in their neighbourhoods. This initiative underscores the commitment of local groups to nurturing civic-minded leaders and promoting active citizenship for community development and social progress.
